Both Lasik and Femto-Lasik are effective procedures for correcting vision, but Femto-Lasik is considered an advancement over traditional Lasik. Femto-Lasik uses a femtosecond laser to create the corneal flap instead of a microkeratome blade used in traditional Lasik, resulting in a more precise and customizable flap creation. This can lead to potentially better visual outcomes and a reduced risk of complications. However, the choice between Lasik and Femto-Lasik ultimately depends on individual factors such as the patient's eye health, prescription, and preferences. **

It is generally recommended to avoid showering for the first 24 hours after LASIK eye surgery to prevent water, soap, or shampoo from getting into the eyes and potentially causing irritation or infection. After the initial 24-hour period, it is usually safe to shower as long as you are careful to keep your eyes closed and avoid getting water directly in them. It is important to follow the specific post-operative care instructions provided by your eye surgeon to ensure proper healing and minimize the risk of complications. **
